Help centre · Class time and buying it

A monthly plan from before

We don't sell monthly plans any more: class time now comes in packs (see Buying class time). A family that started a plan before keeps it, as it was, until it's cancelled, and can buy packs too.

Your plan

  • Your plan renews on the same day each month until you cancel, and Stripe emails you a receipt each time.
  • The new month's class time arrives with the payment. What's left of the month before carries over for one more month, then expires.
  • Extra time you bought lasts until the day the Class time page shows.
  • We don't give money back for a renewed month, or part of one.

Cancelling, your card and receipts

On the Class time page, Manage plan, card and receipts opens Stripe's customer portal for your family. There you can:

  • Cancel. Your plan stops at the end of the month you've paid for, and classes carry on until then. The Class time page says when it ends, and you can undo it in the portal before then.
  • Update your card, and see and download every invoice and receipt.

When a plan ends, what's left of its class time goes; class hours you bought stay. A plan that has ended can't be started again: buy class hours in packs instead.

If you delete your account, your plan stops renewing as soon as you ask, and starts renewing again if you press Keep my account.

When a payment doesn't go through

If a monthly payment doesn't go through, for example because the card has expired, Stripe emails you, and your family page says Your plan's last payment didn't go through. Only the parent pages say so: your children see nothing about it.

Stripe tries your card again several times over the following week. Classes carry on, and can use up to 2 hours (5 hours on Full-time) more than your class time, which the payment then makes up. To put it right, on the Class time page:

  • Retry payment now charges your card again straight away.
  • Pay with another card opens Stripe's page for that payment, where you can use another card, or confirm the payment if your bank asks you to.
  • Update card changes the card your plan uses.

After the last try, the plan ends. We clear whatever your classes used beyond your class time, so you owe nothing, and class hours you bought stay. So do your children's progress and reports.
