Reading a report

After each lesson your child finishes, you get a short report. Open it with Report, by the lesson in your child's lessons on the family pages or by the class that finished it in Class records, or with the subject's last report on your family page. It says which lesson it is and the day it was finished, in your family's time zone, and has two tabs:

  • For parents: a summary of the class; each learning goal marked Got it, Getting there or Not yet; where your child got stuck, if they did; how the class went (minutes, how much your child talked, how much they solved on their own and the hints they used) and the exit ticket's score; what happens next; and ideas to practise at home.
  • My notebook: your child's own page, with no scores: what they learned and a great idea of theirs, in their own words.

A report includes a few of your child's own words, like an idea they explained. It comes once the lesson is finished: a class that stopped partway, or at the time limit, has no report yet.

Now and then a lesson shows Report on its way: the teacher couldn't save the report at the end of class, and our team saves it for you.

Class records

Class records, by each child on your family page and on their lessons page, has each of your child's classes, newest first, whether classes are free or not: the day and time it began, in your family's time zone; its lesson; how long it ran by its class clock; and how it ended, like Finished the lesson or Stopped partway, to carry on next time. A class that went wrong on our side says so, and doesn't count toward your child's day. The class that finished a lesson has its Report. Older classes are a page away.
